Dear ATU Family,
Warmest greetings from ATU.
This is a gentle reminder regarding the application of the WT International Open Taekwondo Tournaments along with the application form for WT event recognition.
Any ATU MNAs wishing to organize the 2025 WT recognized International Open Taekwondo Tournament are kindly requested to read the guidelines and application form carefully and submit the relevant documents to ATU at admin@asiastu.org by no later than September 13, 2024.
Please be advised that ATU will strictly follow all the procedures and the schedule as stated below.

- September 13, 2024: Submission of the application form signed by MNA President
- September 13, 2024: Settlement of the recognition fee to ATU
- September 27, 2024: Screening the applications by ATU
- October 11, 2024: Publishing the list (without grade) of WT recognized tournaments by WT
- November 15, 2024: Publishing the final list of WT recognized tournaments by WT

(please note that the guideline for the 2025 World Taekwondo Event Recognition Process will be sent out shortly after the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.)
<Further Notification>
1. Senior Kyorugi and Senior Poomsae must be a stand-alone event on a day, so Cadet, Junior, or Team divisions cannot be held with Senior events on the same day.
2. We suggest you avoid setting an overlapped schedule with the below championships, which are already proposed for the year 2025. Please find the following list for your reference.

- Proposed Date: March, 2025 (TBD)
- Hosting City/Country: Tai'an, China
<3> 13th Asian Club Taekwondo Championships (G1)
- Proposed Date: March, 2025 (TBD)
- Hosting City/Country: Wuxi, China
<4> 2025 World Masters Games
- Proposed Date: May. 28- May. 30, 2025
- Hosting City/Country: Taipei & New Taipei City, Chinese Taipei
<5> 2025 Asian Cadet & Junior Taekwondo Championships
- Proposed Date: Jul. 24 - Jul. 31, 2025
- Hosting City/Country: Kuching & Sarawak, Malaysia
