Re: Bidding for Continental Qualification Tournament for 2020 Tokyo Olympic & Paralympic Games

Dear WT Asia Colleagues,

I send you my warmest greetings from the World Taekwondo Asia.

 It is with great regret that considering the serious situation of Novel Coronavirus in China, Chinese Taekwondo Association made a decision to cancel the hosting the Continental Qualification Tournament for 2020 Tokyo Olympic & Paralympic Games in Wuxi, China in April, 2020 after the discussion with Wuxi local government and local health bureau to ensure the safety of WT Asia members.

Therefore, WT Asia is opening a bidding again for the Continental Qualification Tournament for 2020 Tokyo Olympic & Paralympic Games. Any MNAs wishing to host the Games are requested to fill out the application form and send it back to admin@wtasia.org by no later than February 13^th, 2020 (Korean Time 11:59 p.m.).

Ø Competition Dates

: April 10^th – April 11^th, 2020 – Asian Qualification Tournament for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

: April 12^th, 2020 – Asian Qualification Tournament for Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

Ø Quotas for Continental Qualification Tournament

      : 16 Quotas for Olympics & 6 Quotas for Paralympic

        The application forms will be screened by Ad-hoc Committee and we will inform you of the result in due course.
