Re: Protective equipment for Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and Qualification Tournaments

Dear Sir/Madame,

I send you my best wishes for 2020.

​

World Taekwondo aims to further improve athlete safety in Para Taekwondo. The Para Taekwondo
Committee has been working actively to improve the protective equipment in Para Taekwondo. The first
action to be taken is the introduction head protector with face guard.

​

This will be used at the Continental Qualification Tournaments as well as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

​

Kindly ensure that your athletes are prepared accordingly.

​

The Committee will continue its work to improve the safety aspects of Para Taekwondo.

​
